Ingredients

For the Wings:

  • 2 lbs chicken wings drumettes and flats
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

For the Buffalo Sauce:

  • ½ cup hot sauce e.g., Frank’s RedHot
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter or olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup optional, for sweetness

Instructions

  • Prepare the wings: Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. In a bowl, toss them with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Preheat the air fryer: Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and preheat for 3 minutes.
  • Cook the wings: Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 20-25 minutes, shaking the basket every 7-8 minutes for even crispiness.
  • Make the buffalo sauce: In a small saucepan, combine hot sauce, butter, and honey (if using). Heat over low until the butter is melted and the sauce is smooth.
  • Coat the wings: Once the wings are cooked and crispy, transfer them to a bowl. Pour the buffalo sauce over the wings and toss to coat evenly.
  • Serve: Serve immediately with celery sticks and a side of ranch or blue cheese dressing.

Notes

For best results, ensure the wings are completely dry before seasoning to help them crisp up in the air fryer.
You can adjust the spice level of the buffalo sauce by adding more or less hot sauce or incorporating a touch of honey for balance.
